Join the Beverly Hills Chamber’s Women’s Business Network this September for an evening of networking, collaboration, and professional growth with accomplished women from a variety of industries.

WHAT MAKES A GREAT SPEAKER?

Join us for an interactive public speaking workshop designed to help you strengthen your confidence, stage presence, and ability to connect with your audience. You’ll have the opportunity to practice in real time by delivering your 30-second elevator pitch, signature service pitch, or a 45-second story.

Are you missing opportunities to be seen and heard because you’re nervous about speaking in front of others—whether it’s on camera, Instagram, Zoom, with co-workers, or on a stage?

You’re not alone!

Did you know that nervousness and excitement create many of the same feelings? To be a great speaker, you don’t have to eliminate your nerves. The key is learning how to work with them instead of against them and channel that energy into enthusiasm, authenticity, and connection.

What if you knew the skills to shift your mindset so you could actually enjoy speaking, sharing, and connecting with your audience?

Being a phenomenal speaker isn’t about getting rid of your anxiety—it’s about learning how to use that energy to your advantage. And remember: even the best speakers get rusty if they don’t practice often enough.

No matter what your profession is, we are always selling ourselves. We are all storytellers in life.

Think about your favorite teacher. Chances are, it was the one who engaged you and made the topic interesting, exciting, or personal. The speakers we want to hear from are the ones who are relatable, personable, authentic, and enthusiastic about what they do.

Come prepared with ONE of the following:

A 30-second elevator pitch

Your signature service pitch

A 45-second story

We’ll work with 3–5 volunteers in real time, focusing on stage presence, delivery, confidence, and connection.

Jennifer Convy is a TV and webcast host, producer, public speaker, media coach, entrepreneur, and luxury interior design expert. She is the founder and CEO of Women in Luxury Design (W.I.L.D.) and creator and host of W.I.L.D. ON DESIGN!. With decades of experience on camera and on stage, Jennifer has hosted and produced programming for Discovery, HGTV, A&E, NBC, Travel Channel, and TLC, and regularly speaks and moderates at major industry events.
