SUMMARY:Social Media Strategy - What Your "Business Needs 2 Know"
DESCRIPTION:Develop a social media strategy that works for your business. Stop wasting time with social media and learn how to develop a strategic plan that is independent of any particular site\, tool or platform. This tools-agnostic workshop will help you develop objectives and metrics that supersede any particular social media site or platform. If your social media efforts have yet to pay off\, this workshop will get you to take a step back from your day-to-day social activities and develop a more realistic strategic plan to guide your actions based on concrete goals and objectives.\n\n\n\nFacilitator Steve Sedlic has a diverse background in both finance and online advertising. He is a former Nasdaq Market Maker and Director of Market Research for an investment banking firm and a Chinese venture capital firm. Steve also worked for an online advertising agency and is co-founder of a health and sustainability-oriented online marketing firm. Steve holds an MBA in Marketing & Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California\, and a BA in Economics & Philosophy from UC Berkeley.\n\n\n\nThe Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Santa Monica College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to offer low-cost training workshops to Beverly Hills companies and residents. An SBDC consultant will be on hand at the Chamber to deliver workshops for both startup entrepreneurs and established companies. In general\, evening workshops will be held on the third Wednesday of every month.\n\n \n\nSBDC consultants have many years of professional experience in their niche fields. A short sample list of consulting expertise includes:\n\n\n	\n Marketing & Social Media\n	\n Web Development/E-Commerce\n	\n Retail\n	\n Loan Packaging Assistance\n	\n Referrals to Lenders\n	\n Drafting a Business Plan\n	\n Government Contracting\n	\n Green Business\n\n \n\nThe mission of the SBDC is to help emerging entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership\, and assist existing businesses to better compete in the multi-faceted and ever-changing local\, national and global economies.
