Government Affairs Committee Meeting
Please join us for our August Government Affairs Committee meeting where we have a fresh slate of interesting issues to discuss.
Congress is evaluating an additional federal relief package in response to COVID-19. Come out to hear the latest details as well as ways you and the business community can work to advance legislation supporting businesses during this challenging time, including the California for Safe Reopening Coalition and Save Small Business Coalition that our Chamber has joined.
The Government Affairs Committee will hear and discuss a presentation from the City of Beverly Hills about the City's Pedestrian and Bicycle Awareness Campaign to promote and educate safe traveling in Beverly Hills. Learn about a demonstration project to test curb extensions and decorative crosswalks at Camden Drive and Brighton Way in the City. We will also learn about key updates to Connect Beverly Hills, a program to improve the streetscape and feel of Wilshire and La Cienega Blvds. in connection with the coming Purple Line Subway Extension.
We will discuss other important news and updates from the City of Beverly Hills, including the City's COVID-19 response and new updates on City related business matters, including the City's commercial tenant ordinance in response to COVID-19 and the City's OpenBH program to allow Beverly Hills retailers and restaurants to access additional outdoor space for their business in order to comply with the physical distancing requirements.
