Business Needs to Know - Small Business Formation, Governance, and Risk/Liability Mitigation
The Chamber has developed a partnership with the Long Beach Small Business Development Center to offer educational seminars on topics relevant in today's business world. This month's seminar will focus on small businesses.
You will learn about Formation, Governance, Risk/Liability Mitigation Strategies:
- Issues to consider in forming a business entity including liability, tax & accounting, etc.
- Governance issues: Compliance with corporate laws & documents, conflicts of interest & fiduciary duty, licensing & other regulatory compliance, etc.
- Risk & liability mitigation strategies: Insurance, good contracting, etc.
The seminar will include presented materials and interactive discussion. We encourage you to bring your lunch and learn how to build your current business!
