Kelly O. Scott is a partner and head of the firm’s Employment Law Department, as well as a member of the Litigation Department, and has practiced law for over 30 years. He represents employers in all areas of employment law, including class actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters, and also provides compliance counseling and management training. Kelly has authored numerous employment law articles and serves as Editor of ECJ’s Employment Law Reporter, one of California’s longest running employment law newsletters, and The
Staff Report, the firm’s employment law blog. Kelly also co-authored the attorney practice tips for the Judicial Council’s California Forms of Jury Instructions on trade secrets. A frequent speaker and approved MCLE provider, he has presented to leading organizations such as PIHRA, the California Employer Advisory Council, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, BLR Events, and UCLA. His commentary has been featured in major media outlets including CNN Entertainment, the Associated Press, Law360, Reuters, E! News, and the Daily Journal. Kelly has been recognized on the Southern
California Super Lawyers list every year since 2006 and was recently honored by Best Lawyers in America. He previously served as Chairman of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Economic Development Council. Kelly was also featured in Angeleno magazine’s “Faces of the Beverly Hills Centennial”.
