Economic Development Council Virtual Lunch
We are pleased to welcome Gregory Barton, Chief for the Beverly Hills Fire Department, as our speaker. Chief Barton will be discussing the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in our area and the City's Just in Case emergency preparedness program.
Chief Barton is a 25-year veteran of the Beverly Hills Fire Department. He has served in all capacities leading up to Fire Chief, including Deputy Fire Chief, Shift Battalion Chief, Fire Marshal, Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Captain, Fire Inspector, and Firefighter.
Chief Barton has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master's degree in Public Administration, and is a 2012 graduate from the United States Fire Administration's National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer program. He has completed many prestigious education programs such as the Naval Post Graduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security-Executive Leaders Program, the Los Angeles Fire Department Leadership Academy, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs – Fire Service Executive Development Institute.
Over the years, Chief Barton has earned numerous awards including Firefighter of the Year recognitions from the Kiwanis Club, the Beverly Hills Fire Department Felix Rothschild award, and the Beverly Hills Masonic Lodge. His many certifications cover every aspect of Firefighting, Urban Search and Rescue, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Management.
