Fresh Canvas Party 2013

On May 18th, the Cancer Support Community - Benjamin Center (formerly The Wellness Community) will award Comedy Central's Jack Herrguth with the 2nd Annual GILDA Award at their yearly Fresh Canvas Party at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica. The event which will also present over fifty pieces of diverse artwork up for sale is a benefit for the center's free-of-charge programs. This exclusive and unique gallery show is being curated by Lois Lambert of the Lois Lambert Gallery and will feature more than 30 artists working in photography, mixed media, painting and sculpture. The evening's program will feature several comedians such as Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani who, along with producer Emily Gordon, will be demonstrating why LA Weekly calls their show, The Meltdown, Los Angeles' #1 comedy show. The Louis Cruz Beltran Ensemble will also be on hand to provide the evening's musical entertainment.
