Government Affairs Committee Meeting
Please come out for our September Government Affairs Committee meeting where we will be discussing a fresh slate of interesting issues!
We will be receiving an important update about construction on Section 2 of the LA Metro Purple Line Subway, which includes a stop at Wilshire Blvd. and Reeves Drive. Construction is expected to intensify in the coming months and there are many important elements local businesses should be aware of.
A recently passed law, AB 1826, requires most businesses to have an organics recycling system in place. Please come out to learn more about this law and how it impacts your business.
The 2019 legislative session is coming to an end this month. We will discuss the latest news on potential laws that would prohibit the sale of fur and alligator/crocodile skin sales in California as well as other items on which the Chamber has taken a position.
We will also have additional updates on local, state and federal issues.
