Govt. Affairs Committee - Measure E & Obamacare Prep.
Jacob Manaster, President of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education, will appear before the GAC with Superintendent of Schools Gary Woods. They will discuss the Board’s recent decision to “accelerate” the sale of Measure E bonds intended for school infrastructure upgrades (approved by BH voters in 2008) that would increase property tax rates for all Beverly Hills property owners, including businesses.
Additionally, Bruce Jugan, President of BenefitsCafe.com will give a presentation about how businesses both large and small can best prepare for the institution of the Affordable Care Act. He will explain Coverage California and what businesses should know about these state-run health exchanges.
