Retired Fraud Investigator, Kathryn J. Holguin will and U.S. Postal Inspector Jim Harbin will talk about why people fall prey to investment frauds; common tactics used by con-criminals; and give you tips and resources to protect yourself from investment frauds. Jim Harbin has over thirty years experience as a mail fraud investigator with the U.S. Postal Service. Kathryn Holguin spent thirty years as a fraud investigator with the California Department of Corporations, works part time as an investigator with the Office of the California Attorney General and is on the Board of Directors of the National Telemarketing Victim Call Center (NTVCC). The National Telemarketing Victim Call Center (NTVCC) is a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that provides education and prevention services to consumers who have been victimized or are at risk of being victimized by mass marketing frauds.
