Second Annual "Amgen Tour of California Race Experience"

As America's most successful cycling race, the Amgen Tour of California is one of the nation’s largest and most recognized annual sporting events. An eight-day event, this prestigious cycling road race features elite professional teams and athletes from around the world. One of only two American races listed as a UCI 2.HC event on the international professional cycling calendar, the Amgen Tour of California awards important, world-ranking points to the top finishers. The Amgen Tour of California brings the drama and excitement of professional cycling to California for the seventh consecutive year in 2012.

This year, 16 of the world’s top professional cycling teams will compete in a challenging course that includes nearly 800 miles of scenic California highways and roadways. With a reputation for attracting prominent teams, the 2012 race includes UCI ProTeams, such as AG2R La Mondiale [FRA], BMC Racing Team [USA], Team Garmin-Barracuda [USA], GreenEDGE Cycling Team [AUS], Liquigas-Cannondale [ITA], Omega Pharma-QuickStep [BEL], Rabobank Cycling Team [NED], and Team Radioshack-Nissan-Trek [LUX].
