The Friends of Greystone Proudly Present "Hollywood Revisited"
"Hollywood Revisited" at the Historic Doheny Greystone Estate
On Saturday, July 30th from 6-9 PM, the Friends of Greystone will be featuring a musical revue showcasing actual costumes worn in original Hollywood films.
Greg Schreiner, one of the most well-known collectors of movie costumes, has appeared on numerous television shows and is Curator of Special Collections at the Hollywood Museum. His costume collection houses over 300 masterpieces, the wardrobes of Gene Kelly, Bette Davis, Mae West, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Julie Andrews, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire to name a few. Acclaimed vocalists will sing and dance while wearing the costumes, while Schreiner, a concert pianist, provides all the musical accompaniment and anecdotes about the costume designer, the movie and the scene for each costume.
A delicious dinner buffet sponsored by El Coyote will be provided just prior to the performance in the Mansion’s Living Room.
Parking is complimentary and guests are welcome to tour the first floor of the Mansion.
