About Us: Something Vintage Jewelry (SVJ) is a premier destination for unique and exquisite vintage costume jewelry. We are passionate about curating and offering our customers the finest pieces from the past, celebrating the artistry and history of vintage jewelry. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our team and help create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Overview: We are seeking a part-time Intern  to join our SVJ Pop-Up events. The ideal candidate will be computer-savvy, familiar with Shopify POS (or willing to learn), and available for events and special appointment showings of our jewelry pieces. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their purchases, providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge.


• Manage and operate the Shopify POS system, ensuring accurate transactions.


• Handle special appointments and private showings of our jewelry pieces with professionalism and care.


• Support store events and promotions, helping to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.


• Maintain the store's appearance, ensuring it is clean, organized, and visually appealing.


• Assist with inventory management, including stocking and organizing products in our virtual store.


• Provide input on customer preferences and feedback to help improve the shopping experience.


 

Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills; familiarity with Shopify POS is a plus, but training will be provided.


• Availability for events and special appointments, including occasional evenings and weekends.


• Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A passion for vintage jewelry and a keen eye for detail.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
