Margot McKinney is an internationally acclaimed Australian jewellery designer and fourth-generation jeweller whose family legacy dates back to 1884. Renowned for creating extraordinary one-of-a-kind jewels, her work showcases some of Australia's most treasured natural resources, including Australian South Sea Pearls and Boulder Opals, alongside the world's finest coloured gemstones.

The Margot McKinney brand is represented through its flagship boutique in Brisbane, Australia and prestigious retail partner Bergdorf Goodman and its first United States boutique at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Her clientele includes collectors, philanthropists, business leaders and members of royal and diplomatic circles worldwide.

Margot McKinney OAM is the fourth generation in a Queensland family retail business which was founded by her great-grandfather, John McKinney, in Toowoomba in 1884. She manages the family business, McKinney’s Jewellers, as well as her own eponymous high jewellery brand, Margot McKinney. Margot has made a significant impact in the international jewellery scene with her bold designs and one-of-a-kind statement pieces, all of which feature a unique

exuberance of colour, scale and texture and are keenly sought by collectors all over the globe.

Inspired by the vivid hues and textures of her native Australia that are found in coral reefs, the lush depths of rainforests, the sun-kissed red earth of the outback, and the profound azure of tropical oceans, Margot’s designs breathe life into organic forms, capturing the essence of nature’s most enchanting creations. Her art features Australian boulder opals, Australian South Sea pearls and a plethora of precious gemstones to evoke the stunning landscapes of her homeland. Margot McKinney’s flagship store is in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, and her pieces grace the renowned luxury goods department stores of Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the United States. In 2025 she established her first independent boutique in the United States – located in Beverly Hills, California. In 2026, the brand expanded its international presence with a second boutique on Fifth Avenue in the heart of New York City’s prestigious luxury retail district.
