Government Affairs Committee Meeting
Please join us for our March Government Affairs Committee meeting where we will be discussing a fresh slate of important policy issues for our business community.
We will be discussing California Assembly Bill 918 which seeks to make changes to licensing requirements for acupuncture in California.
The deadline for introducing bills in the California legislature has now passed and the focus shifts now to seeing which bills will move forward. We will hear from the offices of our representatives, Assemblymember Richard Bloom and Senator Ben Allen, about their legislative priorities and bills to watch this year.
Several companies have successfully obtained an injunction against a ban on the sale of alligator and crocodile skins in California. They are now seeking to support a change to federal regulations that will support the continued use of these products. Please come out for a presentation and discussion on this important issue.
We will have other updates on local, state and federal business news and policy from the community. Please join us!
