This course teaches participants to employ the principles of S.M.A.R.T. goal setting (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) to make progress on the growth of their businesses. Attendees will work to develop goals for themselves and identify the steps needed to achieve them.
Facilitator Jeffrey-Francis McAuther’s background includes 25 years of banking with a specialization in small business lending. He is an avid speaker and recently won Toastmaster “Division B” Champion Speaker. Jeffrey-Francis holds a BA in Economics from Cal State University LA, and an MBA in Administration from the University of Phoenix.
The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Santa Monica College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to offer low-cost training workshops to Beverly Hills companies and residents. An SBDC consultant will be on hand at the Chamber to deliver workshops for both startup entrepreneurs and established companies. In general, evening workshops will be held on the third Wednesday of every month.

The SBDC satellite services at the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce are funded by the City of Beverly Hills, as well as the U.S. Small Business Administration and Santa Monica College.
